In short: Seabourn is smaller and clubbier — ships around 450–600 guests with a devoted repeat clientele and a classic luxury service ritual. Ships & size
Seabourn’s ocean fleet carries roughly 450–600 guests per ship — noticeably smaller than Explora. That means an even clubbier feel where crew learn your name by day two, but also fewer venues and smaller spas and pools.
Explora ships carry about 900 guests on 63,900 gross tons — one of the highest space-per-guest ratios afloat. You trade a little intimacy for around ten dining venues, a large thermal spa and multiple pools.
Suites
Standard accommodations on both lines are true suites. Explora’s entry Ocean Terrace Suites (~377 sq ft) are larger than Seabourn’s entry Veranda Suites, and every Explora terrace is a proper furnished outdoor room. Seabourn’s top suites are excellent but its hardware is older on several ships.

Seabourn feels like a private club: formal-optional nights, a loyal repeat clientele, classic luxury ritual. Explora feels like a modern European resort hotel at sea: no formal nights, design-led interiors, a slightly younger (50s–60s) crowd.
